Become an Adventures Unbound Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Adventures Unbound. Our mission is to create life-changing travel and recreational experiences for individuals with disabilities, and we simply couldn't do it without compassionate, dedicated volunteers.
Our travelers have unique abilities, needs, and goals. It takes a special person to step forward, share their time, and help make these adventures possible. As an Adventures Unbound volunteer, you'll provide support, encouragement, and companionship while helping travelers fully participate in each experience.
Volunteer responsibilities may include assisting with:
- Mobility and transfers
- Dressing and personal care
- Toileting and hygiene support
- Feeding and mealtime assistance
- Communication and social engagement
- Recreational activities and participation
- General supervision and safety
No prior experience is required. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure you feel confident and prepared.
Because volunteers may assist with personal care and support services, volunteers must be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Travel at No Cost
All approved Adventures Unbound volunteers receive covered travel expenses while serving on Adventures Unbound trips and outings.

Volunteering with Adventures Unbound provides meaningful hands-on experience for individuals pursuing careers in:

- And many other helping professions
Volunteer Requirements
To become an Adventures Unbound volunteer, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- Complete a Volunteer Application
- Complete a Volunteer Agreement
- Consent to a background check ($10 fee)
- Complete required volunteer training
- Agree to follow all Adventures Unbound policies and procedures

1, 2, 3 STEPS to Volunteer
Step 1: Volunteer Application
Complete the Volunteer Application Form below and email to info@AdventuresUnboundTravel.com.
Step 2: Background Check & Training
Once application is received, you will be emailed a request for a necessary background check. Upon completion, you will be contacted by email regarding details about training.
Step 3: Register for Individual Adventures Unbound Trips
When you have completed the volunteer application process, you will receive a confirmation that you are now ready to register for trips with instructions on how to do so.

If you are currently an approved and trained Adventures Unbound Travel volunteer, please let us know which upcoming trips you are interested in volunteering your time. Feel free to contact our AU Trip Coordinator with any questions or to learn more about specific volunteer opportunities.
To volunteer for a trip, you must have completed the following:
• Volunteer Application
• Background Check
• Volunteer Training
When submitting your interest, please indicate the specific trip(s) for which you would like to volunteer.
Please note: Volunteer responsibilities begin one hour prior to the scheduled trip departure time and conclude approximately one hour after the trip ends.
