Volunteers are vital to fulfilling the mission of Adventures Unbound. Our travelers have unique and special needs. It takes a kind and exceptional person to give their time to help others. Adventures Unbound depends on volunteers to assist our travelers with special needs on the adventures we take. As a volunteer, he/she gives his/her time to support our travelers with any needs they  may have for the duration of an Adventures Unbound trip or outing. This may include helping a traveler with mobility, transferring, dressing, toileting, feeding, communicating, participation and/or just general supervision.  Because our volunteers assist with personal care, volunteers must be 18 or older, unless they are accompanied with a parent/guardian. Training is provided. All expenses of travel are covered for volunteers with Adventures Unbound. 

Adventures Unbound provides essential experience for potential careers such as: 

• Nursing 
• Special Education
• Recreation Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Speech Therapy
• Physician
• Social Work
• And many more

Volunteer Requirements:

• Must be 18 or older (unless accompanied by a parent/guardian)
• Complete Volunteer Application
• Complete Volunteer Agreement
• Give Consent for a Background Check at a cost of $10
• Complete Provided Training 
• Agree to & Follow all Adventures Unbound Policies & Procedures
